Recently I was asking this question to each and everyone I bumped into. If you look back in your life what are the happiest moments you remember if you look back in your life. For some it was their first bicycle ride, for some it was their first date when they first held hand, that romantic dinner, that holiday with friends, college farewell, their house warming parties, the first word that their kid spoke……..the list goes on. But helloooo wait wait wait don’t we see something missing in the list.? No one mentioned about – that awesome sex they had the other night!!!!!! And this brings me to the point that I am trying to make that just as you would not fondly remember that lovely cake you at the other day, in a similar way you would not fondly cherish sex when you look back and try to reminisce on the best moments of your life.
So can sex be divine?
Well if something is divine then that feeling lingers with you and it shows in everything you do. Just like love. When you feel loved you bask and it shows in everything you do in life. You would remember fondly the girl you loved as childhood sweetheart, you would remember how lovingly you made pancakes for your boyfriend…and after all these years even at the cost of feeling stupid at this mature age you would still lovingly let those thoughts come back to you and fill you with those emotions…… . But the same is most of times not true for sex. You just have a good experience (or a bad one :-) and you just forget!!!! So again this brings to me my final question that why we give sex so much importance when it plays such an insignificant role in our larger lives. Why do we make so many rules around it? Why do we judge people based on their sexual preferences? Why do we call someone of loose character when someone ends up doing sex with multiple partners..?
